UACES: Parent Self-Assessment:

You will be taking the assessment as an anonymous user.

The six areas in this assessment are those defined as central to effective parenting in the National Extension Parent Eduation Model developed by Chuck Smith, Dot Cudaback, Wally Goddard and Judy Myers-Walls. More information on the model is available at CYFERnet. By answering the assessment questions, you will assess your effectiveness with children by scoring each statement on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 = Not true of me...5 = Very true of me). Since you are completing this assessment only for your own information, be sure to be as accurate and honest as you can.

Do not worry if your score is not perfect. No one is a perfect parent. You may put more of your talent and energy in some areas than others. This assessment is intended to help you decide where you want to focus your growth efforts. It is NOT intended to emphasize your imperfections.
